- Californian Fisheries Phase 3: Performance Metrics (2015). Main researchers: Rebecca Martone and Ashley Erickson (Center for Ocean Solutions, Stanford University); Funding entity: Resources Legacy Fund.
The goal of this Project was to design a tool for fishing managers in California to assess how well they are managing the fisheries under the Marine Life Management Act. My role: participant researcher.
- Improving the sustainability of Small-scale fisheries by increasing their governability: insights from Europe (2014-2016). Funding entity: Fundación Juana de Vega. The goal of my postdoc research is to understand the common failures of the governance of SSFs in Europe and how to improve it. We launched an online survey addressed to managers and researchers in order to collect the required information to perform a comparative analysis among fisheries and countries. Role: Research analyst
- Designing an effective management strategy to assure the sustainability of the artisanal fishery and the community development of Yoff, Senegal (2010-2011). Funding entity: Fundación Biodiversidad;  Institution: University of A Coruña;
Main researcher: Juan Freire.
We used local knowledge of fishers (obtained from interviews) and direct methods of assessment (surveys at the landing area) to characterize the fishing activity and the socio-economic development of the fishing community. Role: posted researcher to Senegal
- Digital narratives for the community participation in the managment of coastal ecosystems. Institution: University of A Coruña; Funding entity: Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional y Desarrollo; Main researcher: Juan Freire Botana; Year: 2010
The goal was to use digital technologies (cell phones, GPS, cameras, etc.) to collaboratively build territorial storytelling that aid users to understand their community and the environment.

Institution: University of A Coruña; Funding entity: Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia, Spain; Main researcher: Luis Fernández Rodriguez; Years: 2006-2008
The aim of this project was to develop evaluation methods adapted to the biological and economic characteristics of the sea urchin fishery. We studied the population dynamics and life history traits of this species, analysed the historic evolution of the fishery, and we tested the effectiveness oh the stock restoration methods. My role: Field researcher and analyst
- Spatial management of the lobster resource in Galápagos Islands (Ecuador)
Institution: University of A Coruña; Funding entity: Xunta de Galicia, Secretaría Xeral de Relacións Exteriores; Main researcher: Ramón Muiño Boedo; Years: 2006-2007
